Why skin becomes dry and dull

Cold, heated indoor air, hot showers, cleansing too often, lack of sleep and stress weaken the skin’s protective barrier. It loses moisture, feels tight and flakes. At the same time, dead skin cells remain on the surface and reflect light poorly, so the skin looks grey and tired. With age, the skin also produces fewer of its own lipids.

What we do at La Finesse

The HydraFacial® is ideal for a quick glow: cleansing, gentle exfoliation and hydrating serums in one treatment, usually without downtime. For a lasting improvement in skin quality, we combine it with microneedling (GlowSolution Reverse Needling), in which we work in active ingredients in a targeted way. The classic facial with mask and massage additionally pampers dry skin.

What you can do yourself

Wash with lukewarm rather than hot water, cleanse mildly, use a richer skincare product morning and evening, drink enough and humidify rooms in winter. Do not forget sun protection, in winter too.

What is the difference between dry and dehydrated skin?

Dry skin produces too few of its own lipids; this is more of a skin type. Dehydrated skin lacks moisture; this can affect any skin type, including oily skin. Both feel similar but need different care. We see what your skin needs in the skin analysis.

Which treatment gives dull skin a quick lift?

The HydraFacial®. It removes dead skin cells, cleanses the pores and hydrates the skin. Many people see the difference straight afterwards, which is why it is also popular before special occasions.

How often should I come for a treatment if I have dry skin?

As a skincare ritual we recommend a treatment about every four weeks, more often in winter. We discuss the right rhythm after the skin analysis.

Why is my skin so dry in winter?

Cold outdoor air contains little moisture, heated indoor air dries the skin out further, and hot showers dissolve the protective lipids. The skin barrier weakens, the skin feels tight and flakes. Richer skincare and regular treatments help.

Does microneedling also help with dry skin?

Yes, as an addition. With GlowSolution Reverse Needling we work active ingredients into the upper layers of the skin in a targeted way. Over several sessions, this can improve skin quality and moisture balance.

Can I go straight to work after the treatment?

After the HydraFacial®, yes, usually without downtime. After microneedling the skin may be red for a short time. Many people still go back to their daily routine.

How much does the treatment cost?

Which products do you use for dry skin?

We choose the products after the skin analysis. La Finesse works with iS Clinical, ANNEMARIE BÖRLIND and Ionto Comed; not every brand is used in every treatment.
