Good to know
The alexandrite laser works through the pigment in the hair. Dark hair responds most reliably. With very light, red, grey or white hair, the effect is considerably lower or there is none.
The cold-air cooling cools the skin during the treatment. No gel is needed.

How many sessions do I need?
As a rule, several sessions are needed. How many in your case depends on the area, your hair and your skin type. We clarify this in the free consultation.
What will it cost for the back?
Neck CHF 95, upper or lower back CHF 185 each, full back CHF 285 per session.
My hair is light or already grey. Will the laser still work?
Dark hair responds most reliably. With very light, red, grey or white hair, the effect is considerably lower or there is none. We check this in the consultation.
Will I feel uncomfortable there as a man?
You are alone in the private room with the specialist who treats you. We treat women and men; back, chest or abdomen are routine for us. Ask anything you would like to know in the consultation.
Can I have my neck or cheeks lasered, for example because of shaving bumps?
Yes. Neck and cheeks can be booked separately, each CHF 85 per session.
How long does treatment of the back or chest take?
The full back takes about 30 minutes, the chest about 15 minutes, abdomen and chest together also about 15 minutes. The neck takes about 15 minutes.
Does laser hair removal on the back hurt?
Most people describe a short, warm pulse. The skin is cooled during the treatment, we work more slowly on sensitive areas, and you can ask for a break at any time.
Who carries out the laser treatment?
All sessions are carried out by the same specialist with a certificate of competence under the Swiss V-NISSG ordinance, who knows your skin and your progress.
How do I prepare for the session?
Shave the area the day before or on the day of treatment. Please do not wax, pluck or epilate in the weeks before. Avoid a fresh tan and self-tanner, and tell us about any medication in advance.
Can I have the hairline on my neck lasered?
Yes. The hairline on the neck can be treated with the laser, for example to match your cut after a visit to the hairdresser. The neck takes about 15 minutes. We do beard contours with waxing.
Does laser hair removal work on darker skin?
The laser can be adjusted for darker skin. Whether a treatment is possible for you, we always check first with a test treatment during the free consultation. At La Finesse, safety comes first.
